New Orleans Restaurant Renewal Fund
The mission of the New Orleans Restaurant Renewal Fund ("NORRF") is to assist the reopening and sustained operation of restaurants critical to the perpetuation of the culinary tradition of New Orleans. General criteria for assistance includes that the restaurants be privately-owned, single-location establishments that are generally recognized as being among the best restaurants in the city, whether white tablecloth or not, in terms of cuisine and dining experience. They should be operated in facilities of architectural or cultural interest and their survival is critical to the preservation of the unique culinary heritage of New Orleans, the revival of New Orleans as a culinary destination venue and, in turn, the economic viability of the city. |
